Datacentre operators are increasingly managing a mix of off-premises services and privately owned, internal on-premises datacentre capacity and this strategy is creating new complexities and challenges. IT specialists need to know how having workloads in these hybrid IT environments is changing the requirements for hardware, software, networking and operational procedures? And which management strategies and tactics are proving successful?
To answer these and other questions, Schneider Electric commissioned a research study designed to shed light on hybrid IT environments at large enterprises from across the globe. 451 Research conducted six in-depth interviews of infrastructure leaders at different enterprises in the US, UK and Asia Pacific. The research was conducted through intensive conversations with C-suite, data centre and IT executives and offers peer lessons and perspective into innovative deployment of technologies others in the industry can use to evaluate and manage their own hybrid landscapes. While the experiences, strategies and use of innovative technologies by these enterprises in managing hybrid IT environments varied greatly, there were clearly some common themes that will be discussed in an online forum.
A webinar to present the findings will be led by 451 Research's Jeffrey Fidacaro, Senior Analyst Data Centers, and hosted by Kim Povlsen, VP Software & Digital Services, Schneider Electric. It will take place on December 7, 2017, starting at 3:00pm GMT.
There is no better way to understand trends in any industry than by going directly to those leading the way in that space. Readers can register for the webinar on hybrid IT environments at large enterprises from across the globe by clicking this link.
