DataCentres Ireland attracts support of leading associations

DataCentres Ireland (20-21 November, RDS, Dublin) has announced it has secured the support of The Green Grid, IDA Ireland and the Irish Wind Energy Association, and BICSI. All of whom are actively supporting the event and participating in the programme.

This is in addition to the continued support of Host in Ireland, Data Centres Alliance and techUK amongst others and the list continues to grow.

This is great news for attendees and DataCentres Ireland, as it reinforces the quality of the conference programme as well as giving new channels to promote the event both nationally and internationally.

Ireland offers companies some unique opportunities both as a country and as an access point to the European markets, and the DataCentres Ireland Conference programme will reflect this.

The conference programme will feature local and international industry leaders and experts in their field in panel discussions, presentations, workshops, case studies and facilitated Q&A sessions to deliver valuable information on Ireland and the Irish market, business opportunities, as well as practical advice and ideas.

The two-day conference will feature both a Strategy and Operational Stream, which will address issues affecting data centres use and development in Ireland regionally, nationally and internationally.

Issues addressed in the Strategy Stream will include:

  • The Irish opportunity – Regionally, nationally and internationally
  • Connectivity
  • Power distribution and green energy
  • Financing of data centres and IT infrastructure projects
  • Data sovereignty
  • Driving forces – The impact of IOT, M2M, streaming & 5G or data centre demand and usage
  • How will the convergence of telecoms and data centres change how we operate
  • Regional opportunities
  • Irish planning and data centres

The Operational Stream looks to address the practical issues to make your data storage and communication solutions run more effectively, efficiently, safely and securely.

  • Data centre design
  • Data centre build
  • Updating legacy data centres
  • Cooling
  • Cabling
  • Codes and standards
  • DCIM
  • Open Compute and Open Source
  • Energy & resilience
  • Fire safety & security

Whilst attendance is Free, it does not mean that the quality, depth or breadth of the conference programme is sacrificed. This means that the DataCentres Ireland conference is lively, informative challenging and inspiring with something for everyone whether involved or interested in the market and what Ireland has to offer.

The DataCentres Ireland conference programme delivers over 26 hours of content and delivered by more than 50 speakers and panellists.

The DataCentres Ireland Exhibition is central to the event, providing a fulcrum around which the whole event is staged.  Attendees will be able to touch, feel, assess and discuss the latest in new technologies from the industry’s most active suppliers and service providers.

Last year DataCentres Ireland brought together over 1400 business leaders and industry professionals and is on course to exceed that figure.
