Kao Data, one of the UK’s leading entrants to the wholesale colocation market, has announced CenturyLink as an on-net provider of diverse fibre connectivity, offering high availability, low latency fibre routes to customers at Kao Data’s London ONE data centre.

Jan Daan Luycks, CEO, Kao Data stated, “Our customers want highly secure, superfast communications links with a high level of flexibility in connectivity services that a global communications company like CenturyLink provides.

“The solutions now available at our Kao Data London ONE site provide hyperscale performance capabilities together with a highly cost-effective pricing structure for enterprise and colocation customers of all sizes.”

Tyler Hemmen, CenturyLink’s vice president of product and marketing for EMEA added,“To support their digital transformation initiatives, organisations are increasingly moving key applications and services into hosted environments that can deliver high-performance network solutions. With this diverse fibre connectivity, Kao Data customers can now use CenturyLink’s secure and reliable global network to run their business-critical applications.”

CenturyLink is a global network provider with customers in more than 60 countries and offers connectivity to more than 2,200 owned and third-party data centres and more than 100,000 on-net buildings.

Kao Data customers can benefit from on-net services which also allow control and transparency of the data flow, a growing requirement in enterprise and hyperscale environments.

Kao Data’s wholesale colocation data centre allows fibre installations to be terminated at a PoP, or in its ‘meet-me-room’ and on to the network switches. With the connections within the CenturyLink network, Kao Data customers can take advantage of the latest technologies and services developed and optimised for the network to enable customers’ business agility.

CenturyLink is continuing to invest in its fibre infrastructure, and high fibre count connectivity provides a fast and easy route to scale up data transport requirements.
