Vantage to expand in two EMEA markets

The company is set to add capacity to its current sites in Frankfurt and Berlin.

Vantage Data Centers has announced the development of additional campuses in both Frankfurt and Berlin, as well as the opening of its first in Zurich.

In addition to the company’s flagship Frankfurt campus in Offenbach, Vantage’s new five-acre facility in Raunheim will provide 40MW of capacity and total 355,000 sqft once developed. The initial phase is set to be complete in autumn 2022. When finished, the sites will offer a combined total of 95MW of IT capacity in the Frankfurt region.

Vantage has also begun construction of a second campus in Berlin, located 20km from its first Berlin facility, which will offer 32MW of capacity and a combined 260,000 sqft of space. The initial phase of this camous is scheduled to be operational in the summer of 2022.

Development of Vantage’s first Berlin campus is also underway, set to offer 64MW of capacity once complete.

As part of Vantage’s commitment to reaching net zero carbon by 2030, the sites will use efficient cooling with outside air economisation using minimal water. Both campuses will offer customers renewable energy options and include EV charging stations, drought-resistant landscaping and motion-sensor LED lighting.
