nLighten has announced its acquisition of the GYROCenter facility, located in Amsterdam.

Gyro’s carrier-neutral data centre utilises 100% renewable energy, with nLighten stating that it has plans to modernise the site with structural measures in accordance with Tier III, as well as an update of the cooling system.

“We continue to work full steam ahead towards building the leading edge data center platform in Europe,” said Harro Beusker, Co-founder and CEO of nLighten.

“After Germany, France and UK, we are now expanding to the Netherlands and covering another important and attractive business location.”

nLighten was founded in 2021, and is a digital infrastructure platform of I Squared Capital through its ISQ Global Infrastructure Fund III.
