Cohesity and Veritas have reached an agreement for Cohesity to combine with Veritas’ data protection business.
Cohesity is a specialist in AI-powered data security and management, while Veritas provide multi-cloud data management. Their merger will provide customers focused R&D investments and accelerated product innovation, including expanded cloud, security, and AI capabilities
Sanjay Poonen will lead the combined business as CEO and President, with Greg Hughes, CEO of Veritas, serving as a Board member and strategic advisor.
