Telehouse International Corporation of Europe has opened up two additional floors at the Telehouse South data centre in London Docklands.
Floors six and seven will be available from this month, with each providing up to 2.7 MW of capacity.
The news follows Telehouse’s refurbishment upgrade of Telehouse South in October 2023. Originally opened in 2022, the facility will provide up to 18 MW of capacity and house over 4,000 racks upon full development.
The facility is interconnected with the existing Telehouse London Docklands Campus via 7,000 dark fibres across two diverse routes.
The eleven-story building is powered by renewable energy from wind, solar, biomass, and hydro sources. The cooling system operates at higher water temperatures for improved efficiency, reducing power demand and enabling year-round low-carbon heat rejection using the UK’s ambient temperatures. By eliminating the use of water for adiabatic cooling, the system has been designed to minimise reliance on natural resources and achieves low water usage efficiency.
Telehouse also plans to recycle waste heat to provide low-carbon heating to nearby homes and businesses, as well as other areas within the building.
