Yondr Group is looking to Slough for its new data centre campus development.

In its first phase, the development will provide a 30MW facility, scheduled to be ready by quarter one of 2023. Once complete, Yondr said there will be a total of 100MW capacity available.

With sustainability on everyone’s agenda, Yondr said it has formed partnerships with local energy infrastructure partners to deliver power and capacity at scale.

Additionally, the company has made biodiversity and community development commitments, including working with the Wildlife Trust and STEM UK Learning’s ENTHUSE programme.

Yondr has recently announced a $2 billion investment to expand into the Americas after acquiring 270 acres of real estate in Northern Virginia. It has also made a $1 billion partnership with the Everstone Group to develop and operate data centres in India.

“The M4 corridor connects London to the heart of Britain and is home to some of the world’s leading organisations. Being located in Slough will allow us to serve our clients in the most sought after metro in the United Kingdom,” said Paul Hood, Managing Director of Operations, EMEA at Yondr Group.

“We are excited to bolster our growing global presence with the addition of Slough, while continuing to transform the data centre industry.”
