Cloud services provider M247 has announced the sale of its Manchester data centre to Pulsant.
M247 will continue to provide data centre services to its customers in the UK as part of the sale, and will continue to provide data centre services to international customers from its mainland Europe-based data centre. Five M247 staff at the site will also transition to Pulsant.
M247 has said the deal will benefit its customers by harnessing Pulsant’s expertise and enabling M247 to continue to expand its business solutions, which include 5G, cloud, communications and security advanced services.
The majority of M247’s customers will see no change in the contractual delivery of services, although a small number of customer relationships will transition to Pulsant.

“We are also excited about the new and evolved services we will be bringing to our customers, including our new 5G ready network, which is critical to underpin the evolving demands of customers who need to enable hybrid working for their staff as well as to support innovations around IoT, artificial intelligence and the growth of smart edge computing-based applications.”
