Burns & McDonnell opens London office as European base

US engineering and construction firm Burns & McDonnell has opened a new office in central London as the base for the company’s data centre work in Europe.

The company is currently delivering a pipeline of projects in Europe with plans to expand to additional markets.

Operating in the US for over 120 years, Burns & McDonnell opened its first European office in Birmingham in 2017 currently and employs more than 50 staff in the UK.

The new London office, based near Liverpool Street, will launch with a team of 25, headed up by Mike Starbuck, Burns & McDonnell’s UK Director of Mission Critical. The office has scope to expand this year, as part of the company’s long-term investment plan in the UK.
