AKSA’s Data Centre Continuous generators power Cyberfort Group’s The Bunker facility

AKSA Power Generation has provided generators for the Cyberfort Group’s The Bunker data centre in Kent.

The critical importance of data centres is increasing day-by-day, parallel to the amount of digital services we are using. Because of the exponential growth in data sharing, people, devices and machines are up and running 24/7 thanks to the increase in data centre investments worldwide. While energy efficency is viewed as an important area in data centre operations, managing related risks and contracts is of paramount importance.

Increasing investment in the industry has brought out the need for new standard ratings and certifications in the sector, to ensure solutions are reliable and sustainable. The Data Centre Continuous (DCC) power ratings ensure unlimited hours of operation, with no restrictions on average or constant load factors.

At AKSA Power Generation, we are very proud to be the selected manufacturer for the Cyberfort Group’s The Bunker data centre’s power needs. Cyberfort Group exists to provide their clients with peace-of-mind about the security of clients’ data and the compliance of clients’ businesses, which is much needed in our increasingly data-hungry world. AKSA Power Generation became an important part of this data centre, providing 700 kVA generators.

Michael Watts, Director of Infrastructure & Technology at Cyberfort Group, expressed his satisfaction: “These units are taking pride of place, as a key part of our power infrastructure, assisting in securing the continuity of our services, adding layers of resilience to the power infrastructure at our Ash (Kent) facility, The Bunker (part of Cyberfort Group). These units were built to a custom specification and design that meet our needs and exceed our expectations. Massive thanks to the team at AKSA Power Generation Europe and the specialists from Power Control and Automation Solutions Limited (PCAS) for an awesome package and end-to-end solution.“

AKSA Power Generation offers 65 models in our DCC product range, with products between 550 – 3,000 kVA acceptable for Tier III and Tier IV standards set by the Uptime Institute, the leading accreditation in the sector. Regardless of the power rate or complexity of your power needs for your data centre investments, we are able to provide a reliable power source. We manufacture and combine all the important components using the industry’s highest level of design and performance control.
