DataBank has completed the expansion of ATL3, the company’s third data centre in the Atlanta area.

The expansion, which began at the end of 2021, is now operational. The site now offers an extra 22,000 sqft of space, totalling more than 44,000 sqft of white space and combined raised floor space of 72,000 sqft. The expansion has increased the facility’s total power from 1.5MW to 6MW.

The carrier-neutral ATL3 colocation facility provides access to more than 10 on-site carriers and many internet, fibre, interconnect and cross-connect options.

“We’ve been looking forward to completing this expansion project to further support our customers’ infrastructure needs and growth,” said Tony Qorri, DataBank’s Vice President of Construction.

“Bringing this additional capacity to Atlanta aligns well with DataBank’s growth in the region’s data centre market and underscores its position as one of the prime emerging internet hubs in the southeast United States.”
