STACK Infrastructure & ESR expand into Seoul

STACK Infrastructure has partnered with ESR Group to develop a 48 MW data centre site located in Incheon, Korea.

The companies will jointly deliver a 48 MW facility in Seoul’s western suburbs, with power secured from KEPCO. Construction of the facility will begin in quarter one of 2023, with completion set for quarter four of 2024. The facility will be operated under the STACK brand.

“STACK’s opening of a fifth APAC market in 12 months, expanding on our recent developments in Melbourne, Canberra, Perth and Tokyo, enhances our focus on our customers’ strategic requirements by establishing a scalable presence in existing and emerging Tier I data centere markets,” said Pithambar Gona, STACK’s Chief Executive Officer – APAC.

STACK recently opened its Singapore regional headquarters, its first 36 MW campus in Inzai, Japan and expanded into the Australiam market with 124 MW in Melbourne, Canberra, and Perth.

ESR previously announced data centre land acquisitions in Japan and Hong Kong, as well as the recent first closing of ESR DC Fund 1.
