Pure Data Centres has completed the groundworks and substructure for its second facility in Brent Cross, London.
The project will boost capacity at the London campus to 90 MW, and will now move to its second phase with the installation of steelwork for the superstructure.
Pure DC’s new building is situated on the same site as a 20 MW facility which features four data halls and reached full operating capacity earlier this year.
Dame Dawn Childs, Chief Executive of Pure DC, said, “Our second data centre in London has reached a significant milestone, with all earthworks, excavations and deep foundations now in place.
“We are now looking forward to seeing the next stage of construction unfold, incorporating some next-generation engineering and design solutions for our customers.”
Pure DC has said that its next campus due to be operational is located in Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, which will provide 45 MW of capacity. It is due to complete its first phase in early 2025.
