Framed by sunset views of the Thames and St Paul’s, London’s landmark OXO Tower provided a sparkling new backdrop for this year’s Data Centre Review Excellence Awards.
The ceremony marked the awards’ first year as a solo event after previously being colocated with Electrical Review, but with the data centre industry growing at an astronomical pace – it was only fitting that the industry gained the recognition it deserved. The split with Electrical Review also led to “the highest number of entries we’ve ever seen,” according to Emily Szweda, Marketing Manager for the DCR Excellence Awards, giving the judging panel its toughest task to date.
Moving from Christ Church, Spitalfields to the modern riverside venue OXO2 underlined the organisers’ wish to “add a fresh twist” to the traditional awards dinner – giving those in the industry an opportunity to mingle with fellow guests and network with key industry figures.
Of course, the event had another key purpose – and that was finding out who would be taking home an award. The winners of the Data Centre Review Excellence Awards were as follows:
