Rehlko announces acquisition bid for The Wilmott Group

Rehlko, which was formerly known as Kohler Energy, has announced an acquisition bid for The Wilmott Group, which has been tentatively agreed.

Under the agreement, WB Power Services (WBPS) and sister firm Wiltech Acoustics will become part of Rehlko’s EMEA operations, giving the Derbyshire-founded group access to fresh manufacturing, engineering and global R&D resources.

The two businesses already support more than 4,000 active sites from 19 locations nationwide, and the tie-up is expected to accelerate expansion in data centres and other mission-critical sectors including healthcare, utilities and manufacturing.

“This is a hugely exciting and pivotal moment for the Wilmott Group,” said Andy Wilmott, Co-CEO and Chairman of The Wilmott Group.

“Rehlko shares our deep-rooted commitment to long-term customer value, innovation, and operational excellence, values that the Wilmott Group were founded upon back in 1983. By coming together, we are uniquely positioned to elevate our impact – delivering even greater levels of reliability and innovation to mission-critical operations across the UK and EMEA.”

Brian Melka, President and Chief Executive Officer of Rehlko, added, “The Wilmott Group’s dedication to creating long-term value with customers strongly complements Rehlko’s commitment to delivering innovative and reliable energy solutions.”

“In this new chapter for Rehlko, The Wilmott Group’s long history of success will bolster our data centre solutions across the U.K. and the rest of Europe.”

Formal completion of the acquisition remains subject to standard closing conditions, but both parties say that they expect the deal to unlock new levels of reliability, resilience and service for customers coping with ever-tighter uptime demands.
