Zoho confirms launch plans for UK data centre

Zoho is set to launch a UK data centre in Q2 2026, with the facility set to give customers the option to host their data entirely within the UK as demand for data sovereignty continues to grow.

The company announced its intentions to open a data centre in the UK in September 2025, although it stated at the time that it would be completed in Q1 2026. Now, those plans have slipped slightly – with the firm now targeting a Q2 2026 launch date.

It’s an important launch for Zoho, as data residency and sovereignty have become increasingly important issues, particularly for organisations operating in more heavily regulated markets. This could have had a knock-on impact on Zoho, which is reported to have over a million customers globally, but lacked any data centre presence in the UK.

In Europe, Zoho currently has a primary data centre located in Amsterdam, with a secondary site in Dublin. Soon those sites will be joined by the new UK data centre, which will primarily serve UK customers that need to keep their data wholly within the country’s borders. Zoho says the new data centre will also strengthen its local compliance position.

The UK is a key market for Zoho, with the company having reported 43% growth in the country. That has meant that it’s not only a new data centre the firm is investing in, with it also opening a new UK office in Milton Keynes. That office officially opened this week, and will now be home to Zoho’s workforce in the country, which the firm says has tripled in the past two years.

Sachin Agrawal, Managing Director of Zoho UK, commented, “Our continued growth in the UK reflects both the strength of the market and increasing demand for technology that is locally relevant and globally capable. Over the past two years, we’ve significantly expanded our team, and our new Milton Keynes office provides a strong foundation for further growth and investment in local talent.

“Alongside this, the upcoming launch of our UK data centre will deepen our technology capabilities, enabling us to support customers with the infrastructure, expertise, and local presence they need. Milton Keynes is a thriving, forward-looking hub where we can grow our presence and contribute to the local economy, skills development, and wider business community.”
