Datacloud Global Congress has marked its 20th anniversary with a record-breaking turnout, with plans to add an additional day to the event next year.
Staged in Cannes on June 5-6, this year’s congress drew more than 4,500 registered delegates – a 49% rise on last year – and welcomed over 170 speakers, 60% of whom organisers say were board-level or director-grade.
According to techoraco, the organisers of Datacloud Global Congress, attendance gains were particularly strong outside the traditional data centre cohort. It says that finance professionals were up 450%, telecoms and carriers 62%, and professional-services firms 15%. Additionally, delegates and panellists hailed from more than 65 countries.
“Datacloud is known as the industry’s cornerstone event, where new strategies are defined, and deals get done. This year’s record attendance further reinforces its position as a critical and strategic touchpoint for digital infrastructure businesses,” said Annabel Helm, Managing Director, Datacloud Global Congress.
“Datacloud showcases the beating heart of the sector, and the event has established a leading reputation for innovation, business growth and elite networking,” added Michael Winterson, Managing Director of the European Data Centre Association. “This year’s event marks a landmark moment for the company, and it’s been incredible to witness the transformative conversations taking place across the industry.”
Move to three days
With demand still rising, techoraco has confirmed that Datacloud Global Congress will expand to a three-day format, returning to Cannes from June 2-4, 2026. The organiser says the extra day will give delegates more breathing-space for high-level networking and deal-making.
