Forfusion has entered a strategic partnership with Stellium Data Centres to provide AI-optimised infrastructure and managed services intended to support the ambitions of the North East AI Growth Zone.
The agreement is positioned around enabling organisations to deploy and operate workloads associated with artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML) and high-performance computing (HPC), with the partners pointing to the increased demands these applications place on power, cooling, connectivity, performance and operational resilience.
The two companies said the joint offer will combine Forfusion’s services spanning IT architecture, cloud and managed services with Stellium’s high-density colocation capability, with a focus on supporting AI workloads while maintaining security and compliance requirements.
The partnership centres on supplying end-to-end support for ‘AI-ready’ environments, covering design and deployment through to ongoing optimisation. The companies also said customers will be able to engage through a simplified model, with a single point of contact across both infrastructure and managed services, rather than managing multiple suppliers.
Although the announcement is framed around the Growth Zone, the offer itself is geared towards organisations adopting hybrid cloud, HPC and AI-led applications, with an emphasis on scalability as computing requirements increase.
Security and compliance were cited as core parts of the proposition, with the companies highlighting disaster recovery and business continuity capabilities aligned to industry standards. The partners also linked the announcement to broader regional economic objectives, arguing that faster adoption of AI and advanced compute can support digital transformation across the North East.
Ian Musgrave, Chief Technology Officer at Forfusion, commented, “Our focus is on helping organisations turn technology ambition into operational reality. AI places unique demands on infrastructure, from performance and latency through to resilience and governance. Our partnership with Stellium Datacenters gives our customers access to robust, AI-ready platforms, underpinned by managed services that remove complexity and enable them to innovate with confidence.”
James Cooper, Sales Manager at Stellium Data Centres, added, “Our partnership with Forfusion is a strong example of how the AI Growth Zone at Cobalt Park is enabling genuine collaboration between infrastructure providers and AI-led businesses. By working closely with fellow Cobalt Park residents, Stellium Datacenters is helping to create an ecosystem where scalable power, advanced connectivity and applied AI innovation can develop side by side. This partnership reflects our shared ambition to support high-growth AI workloads and reinforces Cobalt Park’s position as a key hub for the UK’s AI and digital infrastructure strategy.”
