New careers platform aims to make data centre roles easier to find

The Data Centre Alliance has launched a dedicated careers gateway in partnership with Data Centre Job Market.

The new DCA Careers Platform, which is powered by Data Centre Job Market, is designed to give DCA members and the wider industry easier access to roles across the sector, including engineering, operations, sustainability, construction, cyber security, software, sales, marketing and leadership.

While the platform will still allow employers to post vacancies directly, it also curates roles from multiple sources, bringing them into a single destination for candidates looking to enter or progress within the data centre and wider digital infrastructure market.

The move comes at a time when the sector is facing growing pressure to attract new talent. The UK’s data centre industry is expanding rapidly, fuelled by the rise of AI, cloud computing and high-performance computing, but that growth is increasingly dependent on the sector’s ability to build a stronger skills pipeline.

That challenge is not unique to data centres, but it is particularly acute in digital infrastructure, where demand is rising for specialist engineers, sustainability experts, construction professionals and operational talent.

Making digital infrastructure careers easier to find

The DCA says the partnership is intended to make career opportunities in the sector more visible, particularly for those who may not have previously considered a role in digital infrastructure.

Leonard Kay, Founder of Data Centre Job Market, commented, “We’ve invested heavily in building a multi-agent AI-powered platform that goes beyond a traditional job board. Employers can still post vacancies individually, while the platform intelligently brings together opportunities from multiple trusted sources to give candidates a much broader view of the market. Every vacancy is also reviewed through a human-in-the-loop quality assurance process, ensuring opportunities are accurately categorised and presented in the right place.

“Partnering with The DCA allows us to put that capability in front of one of the industry’s most engaged professional communities. Together we’re making it easier for talented people to discover careers in digital infrastructure while helping employers reach the specialist audience they’re looking for.”

For employers, the hope is that the platform will provide a more targeted way to reach candidates with an interest in the sector, rather than relying solely on broader recruitment platforms where specialist roles can be harder to surface.

Venessa Moffat, Managing Director of The DCA, added, “Supporting skills and attracting new talent are key priorities for The DCA. When we saw what Leonard and the team at Data Centre Job Market had built, we knew it was something we wanted to showcase to our members and the wider industry.

“We’re proud to partner with Data Centre Job Market and provide a dedicated gateway to what is already one of the most comprehensive AI-curated careers resources in the sector. By bringing it to The DCA community, we’re helping more people discover the exciting opportunities available across digital infrastructure.”

The DCA Careers Platform is now live and free to use through the DCA website.
