Salute is continuing to grow its business through acquisitions, with the firm announcing that it is snapping up T5 Operations.
T5 Operations provides facilities management and mission-critical operations services to hyperscalers, developers and other data centre customers. It’s responsible for more than 4GW of data centre capacity, supporting more than 80 data centres across nine countries and 22 markets.
The latest acquisition by Salute was made possible by the wider break-up of T5 Services, which historically has offered an assortment of offerings to the data centre sector, including construction and facilities management.
Following the break-up, T5 Construction is now set to be known as EverOn Data Center Services, which will be a fully independent company focused exclusively on data centre construction. It’s not part of the deal with Salute, which is only acquiring T5 Operations.
Salute continues acquisition-led expansion
The acquisition is the latest step in Salute’s expansion since New Mountain Capital took a majority stake in the company in 2024.
Salute has since added businesses including UK data centre consultancy Keysource, ADCC Group and engineering and sustainability specialist Northshore.
While those deals expanded Salute’s advisory and technical capabilities, T5 Operations adds considerably greater facilities-management scale.
Salute says the combined business will manage more than 15GW of data centre capacity across more than 150 markets and employ more than 3,800 people worldwide following completion.
Erich Sanchack, CEO of Salute, said demand for AI and high-performance computing facilities was helping drive the company’s growth.
He noted, “This latest deal is a significant step in our growth journey, one that’s fueled by demand for AI/HPC facilities across the world.”
T5 leadership moves to Salute
T5 Chairman and CEO Pete Marin will join Salute’s board as part of the acquisition, while David Mettler, Executive Vice President of T5 Operations, will join Salute’s executive leadership team.
Marin said the deal would give the Operations business access to the resources and geographic reach of a larger global platform.
“Joining Salute creates an opportunity to build on what our Operations team has already established over 12 years, while giving our customers and employees access to the resources and reach of a global data center operations platform as our industry continues to experience unprecedented growth,” he said.
EverOn and Salute also plan to retain a strategic relationship, allowing the two companies to work together where customers require construction and operational expertise.
