Aligned Data Centers has acquired two plots of land in Phoenix, Arizona and has announced plans to build two new ‘mega campuses’.
According to Aligned, the two new campuses will total 400 MW of IT capacity across approximately two million sqft. The new sites will be equipped with its Delta³ cooling technology with a waterless heat rejection system, to support the preservation of local water resources.
Over the course of the last year, Aligned has expanded with a 36 MW data centre in Dallas; a multi-facility campus in Northern Virginia; a third hyperscale facility on its Salt Lake campus; an additional data centre at its Phoenix campus; a 36 MW facility in Chicago; and a multi-facility hyperscale campus in Frederick County, MD.
“Aligned is focused on meeting the capacity demands of our customers today, while constantly innovating across every aspect of our business to ensure their future data centre requirements will be met long term,” said Andrew Schaap, CEO of Aligned.
“Our expansion in greater Phoenix is an example of Aligned’s power-first approach to asset procurement as well as strategic investments across our design and construction, supply chain and vendor managed inventory programme, and team to deliver capacity at maximum speed and scale.”
