The Dutch Data Centre Association (DDA) has announced it has joined the Caribbean Data Centre Association (CDA).

Together, the two organisations will help data centres in the Caribbean to support governments and commercial organisations with digital transformation and an expanding regional digital economy.

Launched in March 2024 by Blue NAP Americas and Datasur, the CDA now claims members from 34 different Caribbean islands.

As well as skills and expertise sharing, the collaboration will see joint industry events in the region, the first set to take place in March 2025.

“We are very excited about our new partnership with the Caribbean Data Centre Association. This collaboration provides a unique opportunity to exchange knowledge and expertise between our regions. Together we strive to strengthen the digital infrastructure and data centre industry and promote sustainable and innovative solutions,” said Stijn Grove, Director of the Dutch Data Centre Association.

“The Caribbean Data Centre Association brings together key technology sector stakeholders in the region, including leading operators, government agencies and industry experts. By fostering collaboration and strategic partnerships, the association aims to drive digital transformation in the Caribbean,” added Giovanni King, Chairman of the Caribbean Data Centre Association.

“In doing so, we bring together resources and expertise to build an ecosystem that is stronger than our small individual islands. We are very excited that the Dutch Data Centre Association has now joined and look forward to working together and leveraging the experiences of DDA’s members in the areas of training, legislative and regulatory issues, networking events, sustainability initiatives and more.”
