Raxio Group has unveiled a new data centre in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, marking the company’s entry into West Africa.
According to Raxio, the data centre – dubbed CIV1 – will be the country’s first Tier III certified carrier-neutral and cloud-neutral facility. The data centre is capable of housing up to 800 racks at full capacity and delivering 3 MW of IT power.

“Abidjan is the ideal location for organisations and businesses from across the economic region to collocate their mission critical infrastructure in a highly reliable and secure facility. Situated in the Village of Innovation and Technology (VITIB) 30 KM from the city centre of Abidjan, Raxio CIV1 will host the country’s Internet Exchange Point (CIVIX). From this location, Raxio CIV1 will serve customers in Abidjan and in the wider WAEMU region.

Since opening its first data centre in Uganda in 2021, Raxio has expanded into Mozambique and Democratic Republic of Congo in 2024. The launch of the Côte d’Ivoire data centre marks the opening of Raxio’s fifth facility, with planned upcoming facilities in Angola and Tanzania.
