A contractor has died following an incident on Saturday, August 23 at Pure DC’s new data centre campus in Brent Cross, north-west London.
The worker, employed by a contractor on a Mace site, sustained fatal injuries in the incident. Emergency services attended and the HSE is now examining the circumstances of the death.
According to the London Ambulance Service, the man was pronounced dead at the scene. A spokesperson noted, “We sent resources to the scene, including an ambulance crew, paramedics in fast response cars, an incident response officer and paramedics from our hazardous area response team.
“Very sadly, despite the best efforts of our crews, a man was pronounced dead at the scene.”
While Mace did not initially confirm the precise location of the data centre, or who the client was, it has since been confirmed that it was at Pure DC’s Brent Cross Development.
