Peter Michelson, who has moved to EcoDataCenter from a role as Head of Ericsson’s global cloud and IT business, will officially become CEO on 1 October.

“EcoDataCenter is on an inspiring journey of high growth and has quickly taken a place on the international arena,” said Michelson. “The company is well positioned to take a leading role in the green transition driven by digitalisation.”

EcoDataCenter recently raised an investment of EUR 448 million through its owner Areim to support its expansion, with the company unveiling EcoDataCenter 2 in Östersund earlier this year.

“Peter has qualified expertise in infrastructure and digitalisation and extensive leadership experience in international environments. We are happy and grateful to welcome Peter to our fast-growing company,” said Lars Pettersson, Chairman of the Board of EcoDataCenter.

Michelson will succeed Dan Andersson, who has been at EcoDataCenter since 2018, and acting as CEO since the beginning of 2022.

“I and the entire board want to thank Dan,” added Petterson. “Dan is a very appreciated leader within the company and we are grateful for his valuable contribution to EcoDataCenter.”
