ITAD specialist Wisetek has announced it will donate IT equipment to the Sustainable Digital Classroom initiative in Thailand.
The digital classroom, which is supported by Google, the Governor of Bangkok, and the American Chamber, will collect donations of old computer devices from enterprises in Thailand for use at local schools in Bangkok over the next four years.
The recently launched initiative aims to reach 130,000 devices that will be allocated across 437 schools.

This is a fantastic project that highlights the potential to utilise old computer devices and re-purpose them for educational reasons. Since our expansion into Thailand in 2011, the Thai people have made us feel very welcome and we are proud to give back in any way we can.”
In 2014, the Wisetek supported the ‘the self-reliant solar energy community initiative’ at the Deng Forest Community in Kaeng Krachan National Park in Thailand, as well as donating 9,600 batteries in co-operation with the Thai Ministry for Energy and the Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand (IEAT) to operate the installed solar panels that create an electricity source for the Deng Forest Community.
